Also drving style has a lot to do with it. I rarely notice fade with just more aggresive pads and Motul 600 brake fluid. The brakes aren't that bad on a Z. The Z is so congested up front, it just doesn't allow for very efficient cooling. Putting more air ducts leading to the backside of the rotor and cutting off the heat shield is much more effective, and the Z's brakes will feel like a big brake kit. X-drilled rotors will eventually radially crack on you. I've seen this problem before, it sux and is $$$. Your stock rotors are fine. Slotted are nice if you are a track junkie. The rotors aren't going to help much except for a little fade resistance after abusive and hard use(thats the only way to fade them on the street). So unless you slam the brakes as hard as you can every stop you make in a day, x-drilled rotors are the wrong solution. Now if you think that your initial stopping distances aren't up to par with your power, then you need more powerful brakes in general and you will need to dish out some $$$$ to get a big brake kit, which is necessary if you are a very aggressive driver that likes to stop and accelerate on the edge. If you have any control, your current brakes are more than adequate.
